Debbie Kurup

Debbie Kurup is a British actress. She is the sister of singer and actress Helen Kurup. She attended Edmonton County School between 1990 and 1995.[1]

Debbie trained at the North London Dance Studios. She has appeared in a lot of theatre productions, including Chicago as Velma Kelly between January and April 2006 at the Adelphi Theatre,London, DeeDee in Ben Elton's musical Tonight's The Night at the Victoria Palace, Mimi in Rent (musical) at the Prince of Wales Theatre, Carmen in Fame (musical) for the UK tour, and Consuela/Anita in West Side Story at the Prince of Wales Theatre. In September 2007 Debbie starred in new musical I Love You Because at the Landor Theatre,Clapham, London as Diana Bingley, receiving critical acclaim.

She will be appearing as part of the Chess In Concert Company for two nights at the Royal Albert Hall.

Debbie features on the original London cast soundtrack of Tonight's The Night.

Debbie and Jason Pennycooke have a daughter named Saffron. Both appeared in the BBC One and BBC Three series, He's Having A Baby. [2]
