Talk:HCPT

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

WikiProject Saints HCPT is part of the WikiProject Saints, an effort to build a comprehensive and detailed guide to Saints and other individuals commemorated in Christian liturgical calendars on Wikipedia. This includes but is not limited to saints as well as those not so affiliated, country and region-specific topics, and anything else related to saints. If you would like to participate, please visit the project page, where you can join the project and/or contribute to the discussion.

[edit] "Handicapped"?

In our current climate the term "handicapped" is considered insensitive, and therefore it is reasonable that this term be omitted from HCPT's own publications. However, Wikipedia is an encyclopedia, and therefore it is reasonable that an explanation for the title "HCPT" should be given, especially as the charity continues to make itself known by those initials. The word "handicapped" has been variously deleted and reinstated several times during the evolution of this article. I believe that, as a historical fact, it should stay.
