Mohammad Harunur Rashid (born November 30, 1968, Dhaka) is a former Bangladeshi cricketer who played in 2 ODIs in 1988. Originally from Mymensingh, Harunur Rashid, known more commonly as Liton, first played for Bangladesh in 2nd South East Asian Cup in Hong Kong in 1988. [1]
Later that year, he played in the Asia Cup in Bangladesh. Unfortunately, for the opener, his experience in full ODIs wasn't very happy. He bagged ducks against India[2] & Sri Lanka.[3]
To his credit, Liton bounced back from these setbacks and enjoyed a highly successful 1989-90. He scored 65 against Denmark at Dhaka in February 1990. He played in the 1990 ICC Trophy at the Netherlands. [4]
Though generally overlooked by the national selectors thoughout the 90s, Liton continued on to to be a highly popular and highly successful batsman at domestic cricket.
