[edit] I changed the album cover art for their S/T 1975 album
I have never seen the full-color version of the album art before with Daryl and John standing in a factory setting... it is nicknamed "the silver album" because, usually, the cover is metalic silver with John Oates and Daryl Hall wearing a lot of make-up. So I have changed the album cover to the more popular Silver Album version. I have also created articles for all of their albums now. Feel free to expand any of them. [edit] Does "It Came Upon A Midnight Clear" need
Does their #1 Adult contemporary hit, "It Came Upon A Midnight Clear," need to be added to the singles section?
[edit] 2003 song title.
I don't remember the song ""Do It for Love". Judging from the title, it sounds like it was part of a concept album? It might be an instrumental piece. If not, does any one know the lyrics? Jack Meihoffer 22:35, 12 July 2007 (UTC)
- I am sure this was a joke comment, based on the other comments you have left on other pages... The song is from the album of the same title. You can do a google search and get the lyrics too Antmusic (talk) 19:21, 29 May 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Discography/Compilation error
There is no mention of this album in the discography: Hall & Oates - Rock 'n' Soul Pt. 1: Greatest Hits RCA PCD1-4858 1983
The tracks are: 1. Say It Isn't So 2. Sara Smile 3. She's Gone 4. Rich Girl 5. Kiss On My List 6. You Make My Dreams 7. Private Eyes 8. Adult Education 9. I Can't Go For That (No Can Do) 10. Maneater 11. One On One 12. Wait For Me (Live Version) —Preceding unsigned comment added by Sometime September (talk • contribs) 17:48, 9 January 2008 (UTC)
I think you might be talking about a different album. The one I'm talking about is not featured in the discography or the compilations section. It is an album which has the tracks I referenced above, and the album cover image is a cropped version of the image used for the DVD: Hall & Oates - Rock 'N Soul Live/Live At The Apollo. None of the compilations currently listed feature these 12 tracks or this album cover. Regards. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Sometime September (talk • contribs) 18:05, 9 January 2008 (UTC)
- It is there as Rock 'n Soul Part 1, which had TWO covers, including the one you are talking about (just like Voices had two covers: "Black & White Echo", and "Pink Pants" as I like to call them). The CD of Rock 'n Soul Part 1 was recently re-released with two more tracks ("bonus tracks" on the page), that is why your track list does not match. I am of the mindset that albums with multiple covers should have all covers on their page for recognizability. Antmusic (talk) 19:26, 29 May 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Camillia single
Per an ad I just saw in an old issue of Billboard magazine, the first single off of Daryl Hall & John Oates was "Camellia" (B-Side "Ennui on a Mountain") (RCA PB-10373) (the page says "Their first single 'Camellia' is available today"). Is this, therefore, missing from this page? It may have been a DJ only release. Antmusic (talk) 19:17, 29 May 2008 (UTC)
