Talk:Ha'penny Bridge

[edit] Article name should be "Liffey Bridge"
Using a nickname as the primary name of the article is not within the suitability limits for encyclopedic content, if I am not mistaken.

- Actually Wiki prefers to use the common name. So the current name is probably right. (Sarah777 (talk) 13:14, 16 December 2007 (UTC))

- Agreed. Per WP:COMMONNAME, the guideline is to "use the most common name of a person or thing". So, per Sarah, the current name is as expected. (Ask any person familiar with Dublin about the Ha'penny Bridge and this is the brigde they'll refer to. Ask the same question about "Liffey Bridge", and watch for the confused look :) Guliolopez (talk) 17:22, 16 December 2007 (UTC)
[edit] 2004 post
I merged the material from Ha'Penny Bridge into this article, since this one is based on the spelling as found here. I cannot vouch for the accuracy of the information in the text per se. Perhaps I can check it later, but this is outside my expertise. -- Decumanus 06:20, 5 Feb 2004 (UTC)
