Høylandet is a municipality in the county of Nord-Trøndelag, Norway.
Høylandet was separated from Grong January 1, 1901.

The Old Norse form of the name was Høylandir. The first element is høy n 'hay', the last element is the plural form of land n 'land, region'. Also see the names of Høland and Hølonda.
