Juraj Julije Klović
Hello. Go to the talk page of Juraj Julije Klović and help out with the discussion. A fanatical Italian user keeps on inserting his POV/nationalism into the article, and has now requested the page be moved to "Giorgio Giulio Clovio" - which is false as the man was a Croat and was born in Croatia. There is a vote on the rename happening on the talk page. Please help, as he is canvassing for votes from other Italian users.
- Ignjat Đurđević/Ignazio Giorgi is a similar case (or worse, as there are actually two articles). I'll take a look, but these are very complex issues... GregorB 12:19, 1 January 2007 (UTC)
- Yeah, so I got carried away... I may be wrong, but I cannot support what I cannot provide an argument for. GregorB 20:33, 1 January 2007 (UTC)
Receive Sensitivity Stub
I noticed that you changed my stub on the receiver sensitivity article.
I think the one you chose is inappropriate. It says it's about broadcasting, whereas receiver sensitivity is about radio reception, and is something of interest to a much wider field. Broadcasters are normally interested in transmission, and normally have no need to consider receiver sensitivity. WhaleWey 00:22, 12 January 2007 (UTC)
* I've changed it to com-stub I hope that's OK with you. WhaleWey

Quick on the trigger
Hi, GregorB!
Say, I don't really mind that you hit this article with a "stub" tag. I can easily remove the tag when I've finished writing the article (with citations, no less, in the next hour or so). It's just that you tagged the article 25 minutes after I started writing it! That created an edit conflict for me, breaking my train of thought. How did you spot this brand new article so fast? ;^> DavidCBryant 13:17, 20 January 2007 (UTC)
Hello again! Thanks for writing back. No, I didn't lose my edit. I just had to stop thinking about writing and think about something else for a little while, is all. Which is probably OK, since it was just about time to go feed my doggies their breakfast anyway. ;^> DavidCBryant 14:12, 20 January 2007 (UTC)
- No edit conflicts, no problem, no complaints, but you are fast on the trigger. You just edited a page three minutes after I created it. Wow! Vincent 13:27, 17 July 2007 (UTC)
Pedro Morales is a stub
I've re-added the proper stub to it. The article is short, with very little actual information. A list of titles and so on, doesn't make the article: information on his actual career and life is the useful content here (which there is very little of). RobJ1981 23:42, 21 January 2007 (UTC)

Because she was the lead singer of Sky Cries Mary, a group signed to a major label (Capitol), I think this article asserts notability such that it should not be *speedily* deleted. Feel free to take to AFD if you want. Thanks, NawlinWiki 20:29, 31 January 2007 (UTC)
Hello!
I noticed your edits on Danilo's article and was wondering if you would like to help out with the List of Yugoslavian films article. It's an attempt to gather the best of our cinema (notable, critically acclaimed, award-winning films) and leave out the nationalistic propaganda (except for Yugo nationalism, such as in The Battle of Neretva hehe). Anyway, if you can think of any movies to add to the list, or if you could expand on the articles of movies/actors/directors (as you are already doing w/ Danilo) that would be great! Thanks a lot! :) Maîtresse 20:49, 16 February 2007 (UTC)

The speedy tag (db-bio) you added to this article was removed inappropriately by the author, and I've restored it. Based on the fact that this article's author has already removed speedy tags twice (one was originally added by another user), I've decided not to add an nn-warn to the author's talk page, as this would likely encourage him/her to just remove the tag again. (I realise I'm violating normal procedure in neglecting to warn the author, but I think discretion and common sense are called for in this instance.) Walton Vivat Regina! 18:38, 3 March 2007 (UTC)
Re: Easy meat
Yes, however, the article does exert:
5. Contains at least one member who was once a part of or later joined a band that is otherwise notable; note that it is often most appropriate to use redirects in place of articles on side projects, early bands and such.
from WP:MUSIC, specifically the line from the article "George Parfitt went on to join the band Circulus." and hence the AFD. Therefore, it doesn't qualify under that speedy delete anyways... but yes, I know that you can speedy close AFDs but I don't feel this is the case here. Thanks for bringing it up though. Birds of Nepal
Another editor has added the "{{prod}}" template to the article Birds of Nepal, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but the editor doesn't believe it satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and has explained why in the article (see also Wikipedia:What Wikipedia is not and Wikipedia:Notability). Please either work to improve the article if the topic is worthy of inclusion in Wikipedia or discuss the relevant issues at its talk page. If you remove the {{prod}} template, the article will not be deleted, but note that it may still be sent to Wikipedia:Articles for deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. Query re blocked URL
Hi there,
On the page for the album "Industry" by Richard Thompson and Danny Thompson you have flagged a URL that I included as a spam URL.
This is causing me problems. That URL is actually the address for downloading a document that is an analysis of Richard Thompson's song writing. I am working on the Richard Thompson page and discography at the moment and I would like to cite this document as a reference. There is a genuine need for this URL to be used for references.
Can it be "unspammed" please?

Copyright violation in Kansas High School Track and Field All Time List
Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on Kansas High School Track and Field All Time List, by Rick Block, another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because Kansas High School Track and Field All Time List is unquestionably copyright infringement, and no assertion of permission has been made.
To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait before possibly deleting Kansas High School Track and Field All Time List, please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page, and put a note on its talk page. If the article has already been deleted, see the advice and instructions at WP:WMD. Please note, this bot is only informing you of the nomination for speedy deletion, it did not nominate Kansas High School Track and Field All Time List itself. Dates in the aircraft article infobox
Hi GregorB, I noted that you had altered a number of aircraft article infodates to reflect a simple date format. The changes which have involved a link to a date in aviation is the subject of an ongoing WikiAircraft Work Group deliberation. For the time being could you revert your changes, as per discussion. There are mixed views about the reasons for either date format and no consensus has been reached at present and that is why all aviation article editors are leaving Piotr's work as is. Aaron Andersen
A {{prod}} template has been added to the article Aaron Andersen, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice explains why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may contest the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page. Also, please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. If you endorse deletion of the article, and you are the only person who has made substantial edits to the page, please tag it with {{db-author}}. mms 01:12, 24 July 2007 (UTC)
{{Height}}
Thanks for the compliments, but I did not put even a quarter of an effort I normally would into designing of this template (mainly because I just wanted to fix its major flaws so it could be usable until it's deprecated). Since you (and undoubtedly other editors) prefer to keep using it, I'd probably have to re-visit it again, unless someone else wants to do the re-design. I see someone already complained about default precision being one instead of zero (something I hastily fixed this morning, but unfortunately the fix broke the fractions support).
Anyway, I'll work on the template some more. If you have any ideas you'd like to see implemented, now would be a good time to let me know. By the way, is this template even used for anything but the conversion of human height? If not, all those fractions and other fancy stuff would be an overkill. Thanks for your comments! Best,—Ëzhiki (Igels Hérissonovich Ïzhakoff-Amursky) • (yo?); 19:12, 5 August 2007 (UTC)
- So, what, no 1/128ths, eh? :)) On a more serious note, since the fractions handling code is borrowed from {{m to ft in}} anyway, {{height}} can either have one of the values hard-coded in (halves), or support whatever denominator people would want to use (in which case the frac parameter will be used to specify what is wanted; and it's possible to use 2 so halves are the default). Limiting the selection to two choices (halves and quarters) would actually require quite a bit more work, so I'd rather leave the flexibility that's there for free already.
- Anyway, I'll start working on this as soon as I find a chunk of uninterrupted time (hopefully some time this week). If you happen to think of anything useful to add along the way, don't hesitate to let me know. Best,—Ëzhiki (Igels Hérissonovich Ïzhakoff-Amursky) • (yo?); 15:38, 6 August 2007 (UTC)

St. Augustine Confessions Book 8
I didn't know what to do with this micro book report about a part of the Confessions. I edited it as a way of learning a little about St. Augustine. Could it be a fragment of a larger effort? Are there any usage statistics that could be looked at over time? It doesn't seem very useful as is and I have trouble imagining how a user would find it or where links to it would be useful. Any thoughts? DCDuring 13:47, 18 September 2007 (UTC)
- I threw a link to it into the Confessions book report. Maybe that will give someone the idea to expand and upgrade the comprehensive Confessions page and lead to a merge. Let's leave it at that. Is there some kind of tickler to get such a thing reviewed in a year or two? Will there be any usage statistics? DCDuring 14:27, 18 September 2007 (UTC)

Note
A tag has been placed on Abundance theory, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the page appears to have no meaningful content or history, and the text is unsalvageably incoherent.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion. To do this, add {{hangon}} on the top of the page (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag) and leave a note on the page's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself.
If the page you created was a test, please use the sandbox for any other experiments you would like to do. Feel free to leave a message on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Mattisse 23:12, 30 September 2007 (UTC)
"Oscar Pistorius": {{Height}} template
Hi, you recently applied the {{Height}} template to the infobox for "Oscar Pistorius". It now shows his height as "1.86 m (6 ft 1 in)". The problem is that the source relied on (an American news article) gave his height in feet and inches as "6 ft 1¼ in" – I converted this figure to metres to two decimal places. It means that the figure in metres is less accurate than the figure in feet and inches. Can you fix this? Cheers, Jacklee 13:02, 20 October 2007 (UTC)
Thanks for promptly fixing the problem! Cheers, Jacklee 13:10, 20 October 2007 (UTC)
Femtochemistry - hope you can help!
Hi GregorB,
Firstly, I must explain that I am VERY new to Wikipedia, and am trying desperately to follow the rules even though I seem to be mussing something up. So I sincerely apologize if I've made extra work for all the editors out there!
I noticed that you deleted an external link to an .pdf of my Femtosecond Micromachining Handbook, which is uploaded to Wikipedia. For some reason everyone is banishing this information, and it is actually a very valuable piece of information on micromachining with femtosecond lasers. (Please be broad-minded with the term "micromachining" as chemicals can also be micromachined.)
At any rate, I long ago removed anything that would be "commercial" from this resource, and wanted to post it on wikipedia because it is so requested by the users of our corporate website. What do I need to do to keep this up? If you read the actual material in the link, you will find it fascinating. I don't want to break anyone's rules, I just want to offer a valuable resource to the community at large. Can you help me get this right?
Thanks!

Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:HS Produkt logo.jpg. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.
If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box.
