Great Notch Station is a New Jersey Transit station in Little Falls, New Jersey along the Montclair-Boonton Line. Located at the intersection of Notch Road and Long Hill Road, it is the second of three stations in Little Falls, and the first on the line to be strictly diesel trains. This station is served by one eastbound train in the morning and two westbound trains, although there are other trains that bypass the station, in the evening on weekdays. They all terminate at Hoboken, and the eastbound train comes from Lake Hopatcong, while the two westbound trains terminate at Dover and Hackettstown [1]. Because of the opening of the Wayne-Route 23 station and the presence of the nearby Montclair State University station, the future of this station is in doubt. [1]
