How's that James jr., Al and Lily are mentioned as Pure-blood, when it's evident they are only 3/4? (Lilly Evans was muddle-born) Shouldn't they be considered Half-blood too?

No. They're pure blood because Mr. and Mrs. Weasley are wizards, as are James(sr.) and Lily(sr.). Jo told us that all grandparents have to be witches and wizards, regardless of their own status. Thus, they're pureblood. However, there's no confirmation on James'(Jr.) middle name being Sirius, so I'll deleate that. Keyblade Mage 17:41, 12 August 2007 (UTC)Keyblade Mage

What Rowling meant is that all four grandparents must be wizard-born wizards, not simply wizards. Since Lily Sr. is most assuredly Muggle-born, her grandchildren would still be technical Half-Bloods (3/4 pure, 1/4 muggle). 68.212.237.138 00:40, 14 August 2007 (UTC)

This really is taking things too far. This encyclopedia entry is longer than the chapter in the novel where the kids feature!! they are sub-minor characters and realy do not warrant an encyclopedia entry in their own right. User Idreamofjeannie

The problem would then be where to put the information. It could go on the Weasley family page, but that might make that page too long. Information on each child could go on one of the parent's pages, but which one? We might end up with, for instance, duplicate information about Rose and Hugo on both Hermione and Ron's pages. Or worse, never-ending edit wars about which parent's page the children should be listed on. I think keeping it here would be best. Ariadne55 02:29, 18 August 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Lily Potter, Middle Name and II

Women are assigned postnominal numerals (e.g. Elizabeth II, Anne Putnam Jr., Carolina Herrera Jr.) if they have the exact same name as as a parent, grandparent, etc. Lily Potter not being the daughter of the previous Lily Potter simply means that that she cannot use Jr. The second Lily Potter would use II, the same as a man named after his grandfather would use II rather than Jr. However, we cannot list the younger Lily as Lily Potter II because we do not know if she has the same middle name (and thus the exact same full name) as the previous Lily Potter. [edit] Blood Purity

Rose Weasley is not a pure blood, because two of her grandparents (Hermione's parents) are muggles. All four grandparents must be witches/wizards for the child to be considered pure-blood. Ariadne55 21:14, 14 August 2007 (UTC)

Ginny and Harry's children are pure-blood because they have four witch/wizard grandparents. It doesn't matter that Harry's mother was muggleborn, she was a witch. Also, there's no such thing as 3/4-blood, there's only muggles, squibs, muggleborn, halfblood, and pureblood. Please see Blood_purity_(Harry_Potter). Ariadne55 20:09, 29 August 2007 (UTC)

James Potter was probably born in 2001 and he was probably leaving for his 6th year at Hogwarts. Because he already knew of the thestrals of which they learn in their 5th year at Care of Magical Creatures. Pyck 22:19, 17 August 2007 (UTC)

Theres no way James was that old. Ginny played Pro Quidditch before staring a family. If you Take in to account that Ginny would have graduate Hogwarts in spring 1999. If James was born in 2001, most likely she would have gotten pregnant sometime in early 2001, or mid to late 2000. That wouldn’t give her much time for a Professional Quidditch Career, a little over a year if that. She probably played for roughly 4 years before starting a family, that works out if James was born in 2004 or 2005.Mixed5000 17:45, 31 August 2007 (UTC)
