Grand Funk Hits

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Grand Funk Hits is a greatest hits compilation by Grand Funk Railroad originally released in 1976 on Capitol Records (LP-ST-11579). This incarnation of the band and all of its recordings feature Craig Frost on keyboards. With the addition of Frost the band made the move away from the power trio they had become molded in under the influences of Cream and the Jimi Hendrix Experience. This album covers the period from 1972 - 1974 when the band had adopted a lighter and more commercial sound. An earlier greatest hits album entitled Mark, Don & Mel was released in 1972.
