Graham Upton

Graham Upton was the Vice-Chancellor of Oxford Brookes University, from September 1997 to August 2007.
Born 30th April 1944
At one point in 2007 he was under active votes of no-confidence from the Students' Union and the staff unions. These votes were mostly as a consequence of his decision to change the university year from a three-term system to a two-semester one, which was seen by some as a money making exercise that took no account of the staff or student concerns.
He retired in August 2007 and was succeeded by Professor Janet Beer.
