Giuseppe Cocconi

Giuseppe Cocconi (born 1914) is a physicist who first proposed searching microwave signals for interstellar communication.[1]
Cocconi was the Former director of the proton synchrotron at CERN (the Centre Européen Recherche Nucléaire), the European particle physics laboratory, in Geneva.
