The Application for membership of UEFA was that political that even the number of votes is quoted differently: The Spanish media stated 48 votes against Affiliation of Gibraltar:

• www.abc.es

and also the Real Federación Española de Fútbol states 48 votes:

• Un total de 48 de las 52 asociaciones europeas dicen “no” a su ingreso en la UEFA

Reuters and Gibraltar media state 45 votes against Affiliation of Gibraltar:

• Reuters: UEFA admits Montenegro, rejects Gibraltar
• Gibraltar Chronicle

in total 52 country-federations were eligible to vote. --Rheinländer 15:34, 29 January 2007 (UTC)

And UEFA itself avoids any statement of number of votes:

• UEFA to consider 24-team EURO as far as I know the vote was by ballot but only who voted for what was to be secret - not the result. --Rheinländer 13:27, 30 January 2007 (UTC)
