"Get Stoned" is the debut single of Oklahoma rock band Hinder. It charted at #4 on the Billboard Mainstream Rock Tracks chart in the United States. It was the iTunes free song of the week in the summer of 2005. It is also the first track from their debut album, Extreme Behavior. The hook of this song consists of a section of the guitar solo from Born to Be Wild by the band Steppenwolf, which Hinder later covered.

[edit] Concept

The song is told from a man's point of view who is fighting with a woman. In the chorus he proclaims that he thinks that they should "Go home, and get stoned" because "We could end up making love instead of misery" and that "the sex is so much better when you're mad at me".

[edit] Music Video

In the music video, the band is shown performing in a club. Austin is shown walking through a hallway with girls all around him. The whole band is then shown in a hotel room with a bunch of girls. Eventually the group trashes the hotel, doing things like smashing a TV with a guitar and flipping a cart of liquor over. Austin is then shown shirtless in bed with at least 2 girls. The video ends with the band finishing up their performance and leaving the club and going back onto their tour bus. They leave the club the same way they entered, with women in each arm.
