Rabbi Gershon Avrohom Wiesenfeld was one of the founders of Yeshiva Gedolah of Passaic in Passaic, New Jersey. His wife was Rebetzen Rivka Wiesenfeld, who was the granddaughter of Rabbi Yisrael Meir Kagan, author of the Chofetz Chaim.
[edit] Passaic Yeshiva
Rabbi Wiesenfeld founded Yeshiva Gedolah of Passaic in 1973, together with Rabbi Chaim Davis.[1] with initial push by Reichmann family from Canada.[citation needed]
Rabbi Wiesenfeld left the yeshiva in 1975, after he became critically ill.
