Category:German and Scandinavian legendary creatures

This category concerns the mythical creatures of the Germanic peoples of both western and northern Europe. Though the Nordic peoples are also Germanic, Scandinavian is used to distinguish their mythical creatures. The word "German" used in this article does not correlate to the modern usage of that word but instead refers to the Germanic peoples of western Europe (the Dutch, the English and the Germans).
