  1. A shrinking planet would increase its speed of rotation. There is no evidence of such an increase.
  2. There is no overall pattern to mountain ranges.

What evidence would you expect to see? And there *are* large-scale patterns of mountains, along the plate boundaries William M. Connolley 13:18, 6 January 2007 (UTC)
