I just want to say first, that I'm not hear to offend the editors of the article, just to post my comments. I've been reading many of the Geography articles, and I belive they should be divided into sections. This article is short, but precise in summary format. My real problems with it is no TOC. Besides that it has the coordinates of Bahamas, links to other articles, a vivid picture, and a map. Sections could be added to the article, to make it look less like a stub. After the first paragraph, could start with Islands. Then Climate. Then Natural causes or Natural Disasters. Then Geography Facts and so on. Also, IMO "Most people are Christian in religion, and English is the official language." is a relevant statement to the text. There should also be hyperlinks in the middle paragraphs, to help the reader find about the waters and things in the water.Showmanship is the key 20:11, 1 October 2006 (UTC)
- Sorry, I edited the article before having seen your talk page comment. However, I disagree that "Most people are Christian in religion, and English is the official language." is a relevant statement to the text. That kind of information can be found in the more general article Bahamas, where it belongs. --Mary

Are the Bahamas considered to be in the Caribbean Sea? Are the Bahamas considerd to be part of the West Indies? Or what? Hmains 23:12, 24 February 2007 (UTC)

"as of late 1987, the last one to strike was Hurricane David in September 1979."
This statement is laughably outdated. Can anyone come up with the last hurricane to strike the Bahamas? Kelisi (talk) 23:08, 15 April 2008 (UTC)
