[edit] Reverted

I have returned Geoffrey Rush's filmography and external links, after these were deleted by Kellyunderwood. I did this by reverting to last edit by Vulturell, rather than reverting to the last edit by Longhair, as I accidentally listed. Figaro 13:35, 5 January 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Dear Prudence's edit

Re this edit:

Non, actuellement. He’s not “the only Australian to win an Oscar”, but “the FIRST Australian-BORN actor to win an acting Oscar”. Peter Finch won for Network in 1976, but he wasn’t born here. Russell Crowe and Nicole Kidman won later, but they weren’t born here either. Cate Blanchett was the second acting Oscar-winner after Geoffrey Rush who was born here.

Of the Australians who have won acting awards, none of them have played Australian characters in those performances except Geoffrey Rush. The only other person to win an Oscar playing an Australian character, Linda Hunt, was not herself an Australian. -- JackofOz (talk) 11:17, 28 March 2008 (UTC)

Ah, I see. Thanks for clearing that up! --DearPrudence (talk) 18:56, 28 March 2008 (UTC)
