George N. Atiyeh

1923-2008

Born in Amioun in 1923, a former head of the Near East Section of the Library of Congress, and a member of the Middle East Librarians Association, which has named a scholarship prize in his honor.

Dr Atiyeh received the MESA award in 1999.
