Barabbas
Hi, when you correct film links, please check to see if that film has a wikipedia page first. The Barabbas film is listed as Barabbas (1962 film). Always use film in titles of articles (not movie) according with the Wikipedia naming conventions Wikipedia:Naming_conventions#Film_titles. Thanks Arniep 17:53, 6 November 2005 (UTC)

Different people do different things. I tend to put links everywhere they are appropriate. Others only link the first time something is referenced, but I think that means you have to hunt for the link to click it. -- BRG 20:05, 9 December 2005 (UTC)

Thanks! - album infobox conventions
Gareth,
Thanks for your awesome contributions to Jazz albums. You may want to consider adding the background color to the albums you add. I noticed that one of the albums you did Sings the Johnny Mercer Songbook had a pink background! Check out Wikipedia:WikiProject Albums for the conventions. You should also if you can name articles with the full name e.g. "Ella Fitzgerald Sings the XXX Songbook". A redirect can be created for "Sings the XXX Songbook" but the full title should be the article title. Thanks again! --Reflex Reaction (talk)• 16:28, 14 December 2005 (UTC)
Héctor García Puigcerver
You recently blanked the content of this article with the comment "clearly vanity." While I agree, the correct move is to tag this article for speedy deletion. Blanking the article doesn't make it go away - it just leaves an empty file there instead of nothing at all. I hope this makes sense - let me know if you have any questions. Edit summaries!
Just a friendly tip - try to use edit summaries! It looked a bit suspicous when loads of the Ella Fitzgerald article disappeared - you only needed to write "moving discography to new article" or something in the edit summary box :-) Dan100 (Talk) 17:21, 29 December 2005 (UTC)
Page Blanking
On 21-Jan, you blanked Sings the Jerome Kern Songbook. Blanking pages is generally considered a bad idea. Since the content has been moved, you should use a redirect in cases like this. The directions are at Wikipedia:Redirect. Thanks! -- JLaTondre 03:17, 23 January 2006 (UTC)
- Okay, I took care of a number of these. Instead of copy and pasting to move articles, you should use a page move instead. -- JLaTondre 03:42, 23 January 2006 (UTC)
Famous Drinkers
Gareth, I am behind you 100% about keeping this open. I am not happy that these people got rid of one of my favorite categories! I am behind Dorothy Parker and Robert Benchley, of course. I read your comparison to Modern Drunkard. What can we do? Create a new pro-drinking article? I will contribute A LOT to it. I feel there are too many righ-wing conservatives on Wiki that want to label alcohol as evil and do not want to show the positive sides of social drinking. Keep fighting and drinking... -- k72ndst 11:42, 24 January 2006 (UTC)

- Why did you remove the stub?

When editing an article on Wikipedia there is a small field labelled "Edit summary" under the main edit-box. It looks like this:
The text written here will appear on the Recent changes page, in the page revision history, on the diff page, and in the watchlists of users who are watching that article. See m:Help:Edit summary for full information on this feature.
When you leave the edit summary blank, some of your edits could be mistaken for vandalism and may be reverted, so please always briefly summarize your edits, especially when you are making subtle but important changes, like changing dates or numbers. Thank you.

You're the first person to edit User:Mel_Etitis/Jazz-L top 100 apart from me. As you'll have seen, I've only formatted the first part of the list, as I'm working my way through fairly methodically, but if you see any other articles that already exist, or add any yourself, please feel free to add the link. --Mel Etitis (Μελ Ετητης) 22:47, 13 February 2006 (UTC)
insertion in Bach article
Hi, thanks for your insertion about another candidate in the competition for the Leipzig job; however, it's now an overly long sentence, and your insertion begs for more information about the process. We have this information—it's all to do with the factions on the council, discussed further down—but this is a summary article, so I wonder whether your insertion should wait until a daughter article on Bach in Leipzig is created. Hey, thanks for the re-write you did on this article! I'm the one who proposed the original version for deletion, but thanks to your work on it I now agree that it's a good stub that's worth keeping. Thanks again, and keep up the good work! --Icarus 23:37, 29 March 2006 (UTC)
Image Tagging Image:Frankella2.jpg
|
|
Thanks for uploading Image:Frankella2.jpg. I notice the 'image' page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you have not created this media yourself then there needs to be an argument why we have the right to use the media on Wikipedia (see copyright tagging below). If you have not created the media yourself then it needs to be specified where it was found, i.e., in most cases link to the website where it was taken from, and the terms of use for content from that page.
If the media also doesn't have a copyright tag then one should be added. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media qualifies as fair use, consider reading fair use, and then use a tag such as {{Non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair_use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.
If you have uploaded other media, consider checking that you have specified their source and copyright tagged them, too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any unsourced and untagged images will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Image legality questions page. Thank you. Shyam (T/C) 11:49, 30 March 2006 (UTC)

Sammy Davis, Jr.
Hi, could you explain why you changed suggests to alleges on this article? Thankyou Arniep 22:37, 12 May 2006 (UTC)
Gareth, as I explained to people online, is used to personally advise on an option that one can take in making a decion. Ergo, the phrases "the author suggests" bascially translates into the author wants you to make a decision. The word "allege" means the author has presented facts that have not been validated, verified, or concretely proven through a myriad of sources. Therefore, say a bloke by the name of Juan Sanchez comes up and says he is Sammy Davis's uncle, he is making an allegation. He alleges to be a relative, but until this can be proven via scientific methods (for example DNA), via documentation (birth certificates), or through geneaological research, it is hearsay. Many people accuse President Bush of having to do with Valerie Plame's outing as a CIA agent, however, this is only a rumor, and until proven, these are allegations. If the allegations can be proven, then the word allegations can be changed to "proven" or "Verified" (or another related synonym). The English language as in any language can be worded that one word can mean different things. On a site like this it is important for the reader to analyze the matter presented and come to a concrete answer when doing their resarch. This is the principle rule in professional writing and investigative journalism. Anyone who doesn't comprehend or utilizes this approach is a mediocre writer at best who lackshigher education and experience. XLR8TION

Edukators
Where did you get the part about Barcelona? There was no mention as to where they were, and at first it just showed them in bed. It wasn't until after it was clear that they weren't in their apartment (ie, after the cops broke down the door) that you found out they were somewhere else. I even watched the ending it twice to make sure I wasn't missing something. It's possible that the different versions have slightly different endings. I know that sort of thing happened with Y tu mama tambien if you look on the talk page. Ungovernable ForceThe Wiki Kitchen! 21:20, 21 August 2006 (UTC)
Great American Songbook
Thx for your support on GAS template, glad to see it made it thru. Just my 2 cents, use caution during deletion discussions, especially when making references that can be viewed as WP:OWN. The wiki-vultures love to swoop down on those and use it to minimize what is probably an effective discussion point. WP is a collaborative effort, you were a participant in the content, I was a participant in the "templatizing", and hopefully the overall content is improved because of it. — MrDolomite | Talk 17:12, 16 October 2006 (UTC)
Your AfD Nominations
I wanted to let you know that I removed the two nominations you made for article deletion. Unfortunately they were not formatted correctly, but you were correct in that they needed to be deleted. Thanks for nominating them, as they have both been appropriately deleted. -- AuburnPilottalk 05:45, 2 November 2006 (UTC)

Subcategories of Category:Formula One cars
Hi Gareth. I see you are creating more subcategories of Category:Formula One cars, as I was doing this morning. Good work! How far were you planning to go? I would recommend not creating new subcategories for constructors for which there are only one or two cars, i.e. of the remaining constructors, I'd probably only create subcategories for Jordan and maybe Honda and Stewart. Are you planning to include the BMW Sauber F1.06 in Category:Sauber Formula One cars? I couldn't decide whether to or not - that's why I didn't do Sauber this morning! - DH85868993 12:15, 9 January 2007 (UTC)

Orphaned fair use image (Image:Ellaalbum.jpg)
Thanks for uploading Image:Ellaalbum.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable under fair use (see our fair use policy).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. AfD nomination of Cultural depictions of Sammy Davis, Jr.
An editor has nominated Cultural depictions of Sammy Davis, Jr., an article on which you have worked or that you created, for deletion. We appreciate your contributions, but the nominator doesn't believe that the article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion and has explained why in his/her nomination (see also "What Wikipedia is not"). Your opinions on whether the article meets inclusion criteria and what should be done with the article are welcome; please participate in the discussion by adding your comments at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Cultural depictions of Sammy Davis, Jr. and please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~). You may also edit the article during the discussion to improve it but should not remove the articles for deletion template from the top of the article; such removal will not end the deletion debate. Thank you. Please note: This is an automatic notification by a bot. I have nothing to do with this article or the deletion nomination, and can't do anything about it. List of iconic drinkers
Hey, our big List of iconic drinkers is growing and growing, and without many references. I took the bold step of moving several of these to the Discussion page today. What do you think? And what about adding some photos here? It's a great article, but too many people are adding entries without thinking. Maybe they are drinking? --K72ndst 18:01, 23 March 2007 (UTC)
Iconic drinking
Why did you removed my edit about Michelle Rodriguez? --DimaG 01:05, 26 March 2007 (UTC)

- It can become quite contentious to add living people to this article, espicially for those whom alcohol is a moot point in their social image. Gareth E Kegg 01:14, 26 March 2007 (UTC)
- I took Michelle Rodriguez off and stated my reasons on the Discussion page. She is not iconic and not in the same league as these other boozers. I am glad you added Tallulah Bankhead, a world-class lush. She was a legendary booze bag. Thanks for the tip on drinking at college too. --K72ndst 13:29, 26 March 2007 (UTC)
- Hey... what happened to John Barrymore and Sir Richard Harris? I added their photos to the article, and their entries vanished. Any idea why? Can you fix? Thanks! --K72ndst 03:24, 27 March 2007 (UTC)

- The photos don't show up in IE either. Do you know a Wiki wizard to look at it? It sucks. About Steven Petrosino.... I never heard of him. And is he only famous for drinking? I love the snooker players you're adding, because I don't know a damn thing about snooker. I'd like more people like them: athletes, sportsmen, authors, actors... people in the public eye who are known for drinking. Steven Petrosino may have a rep, but what for? Drinking? I'd love more people from other places, maybe Latin America, Scandanavia, Asia. Give it a world view? And photos... keep up the good work. And FYI, I work 2 blocks from P.J. Clarke's pub, so I now always think of Sir Richard Harris when I pass by it, due to your article here. Its a lovely place for a pint. --K72ndst 03:11, 29 March 2007 (UTC)
- I see why the references and photos were getting blown out. On references, there was no close tag. It must be [1], you were missing the backslash in your closing references. All taken care of now!! Keep drinking! --K72ndst 18:46, 3 April 2007 (UTC)
- So that guy broke the list up. I don't have a big problem with that, some Wiki users just have to have lists and sub-lists, right? But I do think he watered down the opening sentences, which now weakens the case for what the article is about. I'll have to revise it a bit. Keep drinking! I am currently into Bières de Chimay, big time. --K72ndst 19:35, 14 May 2007 (UTC)

There seem to be references in the song credits (and other articles) to both James and Jimmy. I don't much care which is the main article, as long as there is a redirect. Either name should get you to the same place. -- BRG 16:35, 27 April 2007 (UTC)

I Wished On The Moon
Hi, yes, I Wished On The Moon is a song that Dorothy Parker wrote the lyrics for. In the 1930s she went to Hollywood and became a screenwriter. She penned a few movie songs out there too. I talk about it in my book A Journey into Dorothy Parker's New York. Thanks for asking! --K72ndst 22:45, 28 April 2007 (UTC)
PM spouses
Thanks for the message. I was mainly trying to find some forms of words that said something about the subject before saying that they are very different from US presidents' wives: I thought the original words said more about the latter than the former. Hope I made an improvement! I think it's a useful article and don't think it should be merged with the PM article (because that is already quite long). I have been trying to think of some other useful things to to say about the spouses: for instance I don't think Britain has had a divorced PM (but not sure); also not sure to what extent any of them played a significant political role. Fair use rationale for Image:Amanandhismusiciidvd.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:Amanandhismusiciidvd.jpg. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.

Fair use rationale for Image:Atmisterkellys.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:Atmisterkellys.jpg.
Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Question about responding to BetacommandBot's image challenges
Hi. I, like you, recently got a message from User:BetacommandBot recently to the effect that an album cover image on an article we both contributed to (specifically The Audience With Betty Carter) will be deleted for lacking adequate fair use information. I saw that you added new fair use information to that image page and to several others. Have you gotten any indication so far that your added information resolves the problem? If it somehow doesn't (by the standards of the person/bot who complained?), is there another warning or appeal process before the image is deleted, or does it just disappear? I want very much to protect the images I've added (and for that matter the ones you added to Betty Carter's discography!) but I haven't seen any examples to imitate of an album cover image with a fair use statement that places it beyond reproach. I left a message on BetacommandBot's talk page asking for such guidance, which Betacommand hasn't responded to yet - I was just wondering if you could shed any light on the issue since you seem to have some experience.
Also, let me give a long overdue thank you for all your jazz album contributions. Seems like you started every other album page I've come across. InnocuousPseudonym 00:48, 1 June 2007 (UTC)

Re: Covers, blah
Thanks for your reply. Like you say, if any of them are taken down they can be re-uploaded (with slightly modified image names is best) and fair use statements added at that point. BetaCommand did reply to my request, sort of. He gave Image:Adam Faith.jpg and Image:Al Jolson Jazz Singer.JPG as examples of "ok" and "good" rationales, respectively. Neither of them is an album cover image, as I specifically requested; I asked again about those and will pass the response along to you if/when it comes. InnocuousPseudonym 03:55, 1 June 2007 (UTC)
- If you have an image deleted for lack of rationale, the best process would be to write the rationale and contact the deleting admin who can undelete the image and add the rationale. ~ BigrTex 21:21, 1 June 2007 (UTC)

Edit to The Audience With Betty Carter album chronology
I think I Didn't Know What Time It Was should stand outside the main chronology of Betty Carter recordings since it was a bootleg. If it is included, though, the book I have gives the year of recording as 1976, not 1970 (see the footnote in the I Didn't Know What Time It Was article).
No response yet from Betacommand. I resubmitted my follow-up question. InnocuousPseudonym 20:08, 1 June 2007 (UTC)

Fair use rationale for Image:Eveningshearingtorme.jpg
Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:Eveningshearingtorme.jpg.
Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 06:48, 4 June 2007 (UTC)

Fair use rationale for Image:Jumpforjoy.jpg
Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:Jumpforjoy.jpg. Suggestions on how to do so can be found here.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.
Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 05:54, 5 June 2007 (UTC)

Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 04:05, 6 June 2007 (UTC)
Fair use rationale for Image:Mirrorspeggylee.jpg
Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:Mirrorspeggylee.jpg. Suggestions on how to do so can be found here.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Orphaned non-free image (Image:Thisisnew.jpg)
Thanks for uploading Image:Thisisnew.jpg. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BetacommandBot 06:37, 21 June 2007 (UTC)
GoodDay
As it's now June 2007, there's a high probability none of my predications will come true (in the case of Fidel Castro, that's too bad). Other reasons 1)The British Election prediction - that election won't happen 'til about 2009 (and Brown could just as easily win)- 2)The Canadian Election? Well too close to call (going by current polls)- 3 & 4) The William & Albert guesses were just that (guesses)- 5)The Nepal situation? It's been politically shaky since June 2001. Now, back to Mr Brown, the man could be dead by June 27th (though unlikely). All I'm asking is wait until Brown is actually sworn in as PM. GoodDay 22:19, 25 June 2007 (UTC)
- By the way, what's with the (un-polite) B-word? GoodDay 22:35, 25 June 2007 (UTC)

- That's allright. Besides, Labourites have little to fear (it was Blair himself, who was very unpopular, not the Labour party). GoodDay 18:28, 26 June 2007 (UTC)

It certainly looks very much like her...but the site where you got the image didn't identify her as such, which troubles me. Clarityfiend 16:58, 27 June 2007 (UTC)
Song articles
You're doing a great job with the creation of song articles. Just one point, I believe it's against Wikipedia policy to have external links to sites which violate copyright, such as the ones which post the copyrighted lyrics to Gershwin's or Berlin's songs. For more details, see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:External_links#Restrictions_on_linking Thanks. Dermot 13:38, 1 July 2007 (UTC)

Fair use rationale for Image:Stoneflowerjobim.jpg
Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:Stoneflowerjobim.jpg. Suggestions on how to do so can be found here.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template.
Request for help at CfD
Category:Duke Ellington was recently put on the chopping block over at Categories for Discussion. I spent a bunch of time populating its subcategories including Category:Compositions by Duke Ellington, Category:Songs with music by Duke Ellington, Category:Compositions by Billy Strayhorn and Category:Duke Ellington Orchestra members and think the parent category contributes significantly to their navigability by tying them all together. If you have a chance to take a look at the "debate" over here and agree with any of my arguments I would greatly appreciate it if you voiced your support. InnocuousPseudonym 05:06, 11 July 2007 (UTC)

Song lyric URL links
As far as I understand it, while it is a copyright violation to insert the actual lyrics of a song in an article, there is no problem with inserting a link to a URL where the lyric is given. Even if that site may be in copyright difficulty, Wikipedia is not. I noted you deleted a link to the lyrics of "My Shining Hour" recently. I restored it. -- BRG 19:09, 5 August 2007 (UTC)
Track listing format
Actually, I'm not aware of any rules about track listing formats. Back in January, someone edited You're My Thrill (Doris Day album) (a page I created) to put it into table format, (see [3]) and I sort of decided I preferred that format, so when I needed to fix the Peggy Lee album track listing to correct a link, I reformatted it. If you really hate the tabular formatting, it can be put back -- what I really needed to do was fix a link that pointed to the wrong person. -- BRG 16:02, 23 August 2007 (UTC)
Yeh, it was User:Moe Epsilon who formatted You're My Thrill. He did this to a number of Sinatra albums which I work on, but I reverted them. I just think it's cleaner the other way :). Much thank for all your continuing song work. I created Old Devil Moon, Honeysuckle Rose (song), Willow Weep for Me and other recently, to which I'm sure you'll have stuff to add! Open the Door
Thanks for making the page, I made some small changes and will eventually add some sourced material from the book I have.
Feel free to ignore the following, but I am trying to move the page on the song "St. Louis Blues" back to its former, WP:NC-compliant namespace at St. Louis Blues (song) since it was moved to St. Louis Blues (music). It had been moved without discussion on the novel grounds that it is "very often not performed as a song." If you have any inclination to weigh in, a simple vote of support here would be much appreciated. InnocuousPseudonym 17:51, 24 August 2007 (UTC)
- Thanks for pointing me to the clip. I hadn't even thought to query her name on YouTube. I added some material to the "Open the Door" article. InnocuousPseudonym 20:28, 31 August 2007 (UTC)
Just a suggestion
One thing we need to keep in mind is that (and we've seen it numerous times) people who are not aware of the older songs will think some of the true standards are "non-notable." One thing I've been doing (and especially note that you have not) is putting links to all songs that I can from everywhere that references them. You might want to go on Google and pur in the search window something like:
which will show you all the Wikipedia articles that have the words (most of which will be albums with the song in their tracklist or other places where you might want to do a link to the song from). This should help the task.
Of course, specifically for "Old Devil Moon" I've done it already; I just gave that as an example so you can see the syntax of the search query. -- BRG 13:22, 27 August 2007 (UTC)

- Thanks for the tip. I DO already search and link songs, my edits to the albums I have created are testmony to that. Gareth E Kegg 13:28, 27 August 2007 (UTC)

Guillaume de Machaut
Hey :-) Why did you remove the ISBN here? They're considered worth adding if available, and I tend to use them to locate particularly troublesome books, I'm sure others do as well Lethe 21:52, 7 September 2007 (UTC)
Sorry! I was just trying to clean up the junk commercial edits of User talk:86.157.112.49 :) Nice to see you're really into opera, we should trying rebalancing Pavarotti's page so is mostly pre-1990, and less "R.I.P Nessun Dorma Pavarotti", which I saw written on a tribute page! Gareth E Kegg 22:51, 7 September 2007 (UTC)
- No worries, I'll re-add it. It was pretty sad how 70% of the televised UK news about Pav revolved around Nessun Dorma... In fact, I think the only opera singer who doesn't have an inadequate page is Maria Callas -- Plácido Domingo, Joan Sutherland, etc are all a little scant. It'll be difficult to do major edits until it's unprotected - requesting every last thing on the talk page is an excercise in frustration :-) Lethe 11:36, 8 September 2007 (UTC)
Re: Tramps
That's screwed up, the page should definitely be moved back to "The Lady Is a Tramp". I have never seen "This" used in the song's title, and the only explanation given in the edit summary is "the title was wrongly printed." "This Lady Is a Tramp" gets 590 Google hits (most of them for a 1980 film by that title), "The Lady Is a Tramp" gets 279,000. You have that Broadway database citation, I'm sure others can be found as well (All Music Guide, etc.). InnocuousPseudonym 17:18, 19 September 2007 (UTC)
I did some Google searching; all the sheet music I've found has "The" except for one place on a German site, and the fact that it is a German site makes it suspect. I think you're right here. -- BRG 18:17, 19 September 2007 (UTC)
Gladys Knight
Thanks for the heads up - to be honest I'm losing patience with this user and his collection of sockpuppets, so I've left a note on his talkpage and if he reverts again I'm going to have to start using my block tools. I've got the article watchlisted, but please feel free to revert if you see it happening again. Cheers, ELIMINATORJR 23:30, 20 September 2007 (UTC)
Saga of Knight
== that link is not, as you stated, included in the references. the reference link is to another source which hails gladys as the empress of soul. the link i add is to a review article of the 2007 ella awards. what pretext will you come up with now? what is the source of your bias against gladys knight?==Comprendo 18:10, 20 September 2007 (UTC)
==i have included a link to review article about ella awards of sept. 10, 2007. will you not disturb this so it will link to various feeds and search forums?==Comprendo 17:24, 20 September 2007 (UTC)
why do you insist on eliminating facts about ms. knight. has she or has she not won seven american music awards?
Personal bias against Gladys Knight
Whatever your personal bias against Gladys Knight, it is a fact thatthe prestigious Society of Singers recognize and acknowledge her as the EMPRESS OF SOUL, and presented herwith the ELLA AWARD under those auspices. Please let the record reflect what it is!!!
Wikipedia Inconsistency
I've reviewed Aretha Franklin's page and see Wikipedia allows her well-known nickname "Queen of Soul" and lesser known nicknames, "LadySoul" and "Sister Ree" in her introduction. Yet, you and Eliminator JR will not permit Gladys's nickname in her intro because "it doesn't belong" there. In the past, the reason given for not permitting it was "source it". Having sourced it, especially with the Society of Singer's official recognition of Gladys'nickname, please explain this inconsistency and justify your not permitting it for Gladys except for bias (I'm sure if I look I can find other nicknames in people's intro).
