Gary Sawyer (born July 5, 1985 in Bideford, England) is a defender for English football league club Plymouth Argyle.
[edit] Biography
In the 2003/04 season he had a loan spell with Weymouth, before joining Exeter City in summer 2004, initially on a season long loan which was then extended for a seconded season.
Sawyer returned from loan to Plymouth Argyle at the end of 2005–06 season where he is likely to sign a one year contract extension. It is widely expected that he will be loaned out to a football league club for the 2006–07 season though he has stated in the local press that he would like to try and forge a regular place at Plymouth Argyle.
Gary's league debut for Argyle occurred on November 28, 2006 in a home match against Luton Town. He scored his first goal against Colchester United on Tuesday 4th March 2008
