[edit] Unclear

Not sure whatya mean by 'equal importance's to their fielding'? Frainc 20:05 15 September 2006

I was tryin to say that in gaa players can be the best shot stopers in the world but if their fielding is terrible they will not play (Gnevin 22:19, 15 September 2006 (UTC))

[edit] Names from

[1] (Gnevin 22:12, 15 September 2006 (UTC))

I had been looking at [2] (Frainc 23:48, 15 September 2006 (UTC))

Ok so the GAA cant get it right what to do ? Go with Center Half Back and Center Half Forward? These would be more common ?(Gnevin 22:57, 15 September 2006 (UTC))
Also if we could get a version of that image it would be a good addition to this artical (Gnevin 22:59, 15 September 2006 (UTC))

[edit] Fixed positions

Why are the positions "fixed", why don't some teams play different formations as is common in soccer?GordyB 13:46, 30 October 2007 (UTC)

Its to do with distance , the full forwards tend to be fast and can get in close to goal. Full backs tall to catch high balls while fast. Half forwards strong , can carry the ball well etc etc . Its sort of like Rugby Union where different aspects of the game require different skills Gnevin 20:20, 30 October 2007 (UTC)
