Gabriel Nicu Giurgiu is a Romanian football player who currently plays for FC Rubin Kazan in theRussian Premier League. He was transferred by the Russian team in the summer of 2007 for 500.000$ from Otelul Galati, a team in the Romanian Liga I, who bought him from Universitatea Cluj in the summer of 2006 for about 25.000$ after playing for the team for 6 years. He is on loan at Otelul Galati until the end of the 2007/2008 season
