This is a documentation subpage for Template:Future sport (see that page for the template itself).
It contains usage information, categories and other content that is not part of the original template page.

[edit] Usage

This template contains 3 optional parameters:

  • image, which can specify an image to replace the soccer ball image
  • event, which can change the event to something other than the default sporting event or team text.
  • sortkey, which can specify a specific name to use when categorizing an article.

For example, the following code:

{{future sport|image=Basketball.png|event=basketball game|sortkey=Future sport}}

results in this:

Current sport
 This article or section contains information about a future basketball game.
It is likely to contain information of a speculative nature and the content may change as the event approaches and more information becomes available.

and categorizes it under the name Future sport under Category:Future sporting events
