Fundamental Friend Dependability

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

"Fundamental Friend Dependability" is a song from the 1972 Peanuts film musical, Snoopy Come Home. It was written by Robert and Richard Sherman and represents one of these songwriters' signature stylistics, the clever word-play song. Other songs they have written using this stylistic include, "Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious" (from Mary Poppins) and "Gratifaction" (from Tom Sawyer). Music arrangement was done by Don Ralke.

In the song, a strange, sadistic, hyperactive girl meets Snoopy, decides to name him "Rex" and plays dress-up with him, much to the beagle's chagrin.[1]
