The book basically consists of two parts: 1. The original shooting script written by Larry and Andy Wachowsky with notes by direcor James McTeigue and 2. a whole section showing the art produced for the film. McTeigue comments on the development of the design by Owen Paterson which won the SDFCS Award[2] of San Diego Film Critics Society for "Best Production Design" and got nominated for the "Excellence in Production Design"[2] of the Art Directors Guild. The work of the art department is illustrated by leading concept artists[3] George Hull (illustrator), Peter Popken and Dermot Power[4]. Further in the back is a chapter about the graphics designed for the film. A lot of attention and effort was spent on the development of the filmposter. Pages 245-251 contain many variation of designs for a teaser poster and the actual filmposter which was honored in June 2007 with the Key Art Award[5].
