Frontier School of Midwifery and Family Nursing is a private non-profit graduate school located in Hyden, Kentucky. The Leslie County school was started by the Frontier Nursing Service in 1939. In 1989, it became the first midwifery school to offer distance education.[1]

The school is accredited by the Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools, American College of Nurse-Midwives Division of Accreditation, and the National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission.
