Frederic Block

Frederic Block (b. 1934, Brooklyn, New York) is a federal judge for the United States District Court for the Eastern District of New York. Judge Block received an A.B. from Indiana University in 1956 and an LL.B. from Cornell Law School in 1959. He was nominated to the court by President Bill Clinton on July 22, 1994, to a seat vacated by Eugene H. Nickerson, confirmed by the Senate on September 28, 1994, and received his commission on September 29, 1994. He assumed senior status on September 1, 2005.
