Foteino or Fotino (Greek: Φωτεινό [pronunciation ]) is a village (municipal district) in the municipality of Kompoti in the prefecture of Arta, Greece. Its 2001 population was 374 for the village and 3,485 for the municipality.

- 1696: NAME:
The old name of the village, Hósiana (Greek: Χώσιανα), appears, for the first time, in a historic document in which villages of Arta ask from the Venetian Democracy to protect them from pirates. (page 101 [3])
- 1899: CHURCH:
A new church was built by destroying a small old one. (page 104 [3]) The old church had been built in early 12th century AD.
- 1947: THE COMMUNE (KINOTITA):
With the 186/10.08.1947 national newspaper (ΦΕΚ) the commune was created. Until then it was part of the commune of Ano-Petra. (page 117 [3])
- 1953: NEW-NAME:
With ΦΕΚ 195/23.07.1953 its name changed from Hosiana to Fotino. (page 98 [3])
- 1997: MUNICIPAL-DISTRICT:
With the law 2539/1997 (Kapodistria) the commune became municipal-district of the municipality of Kompoti.
