Forrest Hylton

Forrest Hylton is an historian at New York University.[1] He is one of the foremost experts in South America,[2] and has lived for several years in Colombia and Bolivia.[3]
He is the author of Evil Hour in Colombia. In 2007 he published Revolutionary Horizons: Past and Present in Bolivian Politics with historian Sinclair Thomson,[4] and Governments of the Poor: Politics and Survival in the Global Slum with historian Mike Davis.[5] He is a regular contributor to New Left Review and NACLA Report on the Americas, and he is an editor and contributor of Ya es otro tiempo el presente: Cuatro momentos de insurgencia indÃgena[6]
