"Folie a Deux" is the nineteenth episode of season 5 of the television series The X-Files. Mulder and Scully encounter a delusional man who believes his boss may be a monster — and is willing to pay any price to prove it.
[edit] Trivia
- Folie à deux literally means “a madness shared by two”
- This episode's monster of the week, a brain-eating, insectoid creature with the ability to cloud the minds of people observing it, is similar to the title creatures from the Red Dwarf episode Psirens.
- At one point Mulder mentions Helsinki syndrome which is, in fact, an incorrect name for Stockholm syndrome.
