[edit] Character profile

Floss and her husband, Neville were retired Carnival workers who had lived in the Caravan Park on the same land as Summer Bay House. They welcomed the newly-arrived Fletcher family, who had purchased the house from Alf Stewart.

Floss believed in Tarot cards and would frequently have premonitions. She visualised local Tearaway Bobby Simpson causing the death of Frank Morgan, one of the Fletchers' foster children. Floss even visualised the number plate of the car Tom, Frank's foster father had purchased for him.

Later in the year, Floss and Neville were joined by their grandson, Ben who enjoyed spending time with them and wanted to stay with them permanently. Unfortunately this didn't sit right with Scott, Ben's father and Floss and Neville's estranged son who promptly dragged Ben away from his grandparents.

Floss and Neville camped out on Scott's lawn, prompting him to threaten to call the police on them. In the end, Floss and Neville were forced to break contact with Ben, breaking their hearts. However, they able to reconcile with Scott when he paid them a visit on Mother's Day.

In 1989, the McPhees packed up and left the Caravan park to rejoin the travelling circus after Neville had contacted his old ringmaster about getting his old job back.

In June 2000, Floss returned to Summer Bay for Sally Fletcher's wedding to Keiran Fletcher. She had revealed that Neville had passed on four years earlier, but had lived a full life.

In 2002, Floss returned to Summer Bay for the town's Sesquentenary celebrations and experienced a vision of the ferry crash.

Floss returned in 2004, when she thought she was dying and asked Sally Fletcher and her husband Flynn Saunders to help her to die. Fortunately, it was a misdiagnosis and Floss was back on her travels.

Floss returned on 1 April 2008 as she felt she was needed back in the bay. She repeatedly said that the troublemaker was in trouble and then discovered Aden Jefferies, injured in the collapsing Diner. Floss will Return to live in bay full time in June
