[edit] New national flag

The latest news (but not definite & from unknown source) : People heard that the color of Myanmar flag will change. It will be three colors: Red, Green & Yellow. Red represents bravery, green refers to agriculture, & the yellow for unity of all the Nationalities.

I found a New Light of Myanmar article (English) about the new flag. The link is here, "The Flag is marked with green, yellow and red stripes in a proportionate ratio. On the left end of the green stripe at the top of the Flag is a large white star directing upwards" (quite a long title).--Hintha 23:14, 12 January 2007 (UTC)

I think it is a good idea to include the 8 major races (Bamar, Shan, Chin, Kayin/Karen, Kayah/Karenni, Mon, Kachin and Rakhine/Araken) national flags or state flags and the meanings of them. Each state or division has its own flag or emblem and should be included in the page of Flags of Myanmar. Texxexx 19:03, 24 April 2007 (UTC)
