Flancare Park is a soccer stadium in Longford, Republic of Ireland. It is the home stadium of Eircom League side Longford Town F.C.. Flancare Park has also held numerous international underage matches. The stadia underwent a huge redevelopement at the end of 2000/2001 season. Previous to this Flancare Park while containing a good pitch and floodlights had minimal dressing rooms, showers and toilet facilities, along with two terraced (one uncovered) and a single seater stand. It is located on the Strokestown Road.[1]
The promotion of Longford Town to the Premier Division was seen as a catalyst in the redevelopement of Flancare to its present day form. Through the receipt of government and FAI grant aid Flancare park has been redeveloped into an all seater stadium. The stadium holds 4,500.[2]
