[edit] Rewrite this Article

This article was extremely poorly written by someone who obviously has a vendetta against the site. This is an encyclopedia and not a place for you to soapbox. Someone should rewrite this article as well, since it looks like it was written by a 14 year old.Tovlakas 16:16, 15 May 2007 (UTC)

A little history would be welcome. I know it's part of the GameSpy network, and that the network has its own history, but I seem to remember FilePlanet was an early adopter in the movement from large public ftp sites to web-based file repositories, at least for gamers. Didn't it begin as a mirror of Walnut Creek CDROM's ftp site (at least the gaming-centric directories)? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 72.130.179.171 (talk) 09:38, 25 September 2007 (UTC)
