I think FATA is a very informative and well-organized article about the different aspects of FATA. FATA has been neglected by many Governments of Pakistan therefore it was surely to become a Wild West but the present Government is doing what it can to bring the area into the Main stream of Pakistan. As far as the article is concerned, it is a nice article and it must be given the rating of a Featured article or a Good Article.
- In my opinion, this has the making of a really excellent article. However, I have presently rated it as B-class, on the basis that the article lacks formal references, and some of it needs rewriting and reformatting in a more encyclopedic style. It will take a little work to bring this up to GA-standard, but not much. I will have a go at some of the language after leaving this message. -- TinaSparkle 10:00, 10 May 2007 (UTC)
- Further to my original comment, a closer look at the article has revealed far more problems with sources than I first realised. This article is desperately in need of reliable sources and must strive for NPOV. Definitely not a GA candidate until these problems are ironed out. Please see discussion below. -- TinaSparkle 11:04, 10 May 2007 (UTC)
A biased article based on disinformation
Hi, I am a Pashtun from Tribal Areas (FATA). I consider this article to be stereotypical, politicaly motivated, poorly compiled, based on disinformation, and furthering Pakistani Govt agenda and propaganda with regard to FATA situation. It doesn't deserve a B rank at all. It needs to be written by a neutral person from an academic stand point. The article fails to mention the high-handedness of Pakistani govt in FATA, its reluctance to introduce political, legal, and administrative reforms there, and its resistence to allow party-based politics in FATA (On the other hand Pakistani Govt. has given Mullahs free hand to do whatever they want to ). Moreover, the article doesn't discuss the arbitrary and unbriddled powers the political agent, a sort of Pakistan's Federal Govt viceroy, in FATA enjoys under the black FCR (Frontier crimes regulation).FatehM 18:55, 1 September 2007 (UTC)
