Fearless Records is an alternative rock-oriented record label that, according to their website, has been signing artists since 1994. They are based out of Westminster, California. Fearless is perhaps best known for their early melodic hardcore, punk and pop-punk captured in the Fearless Flush Sampler and Punk Bites releases and releases by bands like Bigwig and Dynamite Boy and later Sugarcult and Plain White T's, ska releases by The Aquabats and post-hardcore releases by At the Drive-In. However, the label has experimented with different styles in recent years. Acts like Rock Kills Kid, Mayday Parade, Alesana and the The Maine have showcased rock, emo and alternative rock bands that have emerged in recent years.
[edit] Punk Goes...
The label is also known for its Punk Goes... series that began with Punk Goes Metal and has included Punk Goes Pop, Punk Goes Acoustic, Punk Goes 80's, Punk Goes 90's, Punk Goes Acoustic 2, and the more recently released Punk Goes Crunk. Although they have represented some of Fearless Records' largest sellers, the more recent Punk Goes... releases have been criticized among the punk community for not actually featuring punk rock, but rather pop and rock acts posing under the guise of "punk".[1]
