Farringdon Platform was an intermediate station on the Meon Valley line which ran from Alton to Fareham during the 20th century. A goods yard for loading agricultural produce was already sited there, and in 1930 a short wooden platform of one coach-length was built to serve the village[1]. A particularly difficult line to construct[2] the platform was used intermittently for goods traffic until the track was lifted in 1968[3].
