[edit] History

The station was opened as Falmouth by British Rail on 7 December 1970 when the branch line was cut back to terminate here. It was renamed Falmouth (The Dell) on 5 May 1975 when Falmouth Docks station reopened, subsequently being renamed again, this time to Falmouth Town.
