Talk:Fairlop Loop

[edit] Fairlop or Hainault?
Of course, there's the question of whether it should be called the Fairlop Loop or Hainault Loop. I think that during pre-Central line days, Fairlop Loop is more appropriate, firstly because Hainault station was closed for 22 years (1908 to 1930), and also that steam trains using the loop did pause at Fairlop as if it were an intermediate terminus, albeit for a few minutes.
Naturally, the term Hainault Loop is appropriate to the line today because of Hainault's function as a Central line terminus, and also its much higher patronage compared with Fairlop.
Anyway, these are my thoughts! Sunil060902 (talk) 01:38, 17 March 2008 (UTC)
