Ivrea is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Turin in the Italian region Piedmont, located about 45 km northeast of Turin. As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 24,016 and an area of 30.2 km2.[1]

The municipality of Ivrea contains the frazione (subdivision) Torre Balfredo.

Ivrea borders the following municipalities: Chiaverano, Montalto Dora, Burolo, Bollengo, Cascinette d'Ivrea, Fiorano Canavese, Banchette, Salerano Canavese, Pavone Canavese, Albiano d'Ivrea, Romano Canavese, Strambino, Vestignè.
