Is anyone aware of which 'George Clinton' is being referred to in the section 'A Clinton Democrat, Root served in the New York State Assembly from 1798 until 1802' ?

I assume from context that it is George Clinton (vice president), but could possibly be George Clinton (congressman) or ever George Clinton (royal governor) (although that one seems unlikely)

I'm not confident enough to correct the link :) -- Worm 13:04, 22 September 2006 (UTC)
