Engerdal is a municipality in the county of Hedmark, Norway.

[edit] The name
The first element is the rivername Engera, the last element is dal m 'valley, dale'. The rivername is derivated from the name of the lake Engeren, and this is probably derivated from the Norse word ongr 'narrow'.
