Talk:Endeavour River National Park

[edit] Verification Requested
I have requested verification, as I was surprised and did not think this National Park fell within the World Heritage Committee listed World Heritage Area .. which was, primarily, a listing of north-east queensland's wet tropical forests, and cruder scale maps do not seem to stretch all the way up to Cooktown, Queensland and the Endeavour River?! - I have left a message on the usertalk page of the editor who may have mislocated this National Park within the Wet Tropics of Queensland World Heritage Area.
- Checking myself, I note the following map of the Wet Tropics World Heritage Area falls >30 kms short (south) of both Cooktown and the Endeavour River. I also note from the official Queensland National Parks web page that the "Endeavour River" is just north of Cooktown, and the Endeavour River National Park is "just next to Cooktown", mostly accessible only by boat (being Endeavour River dunes, mangroves, wetlands etc), accessible from a road running 3 km west of Cooktown!.
- The Endeavour River National Park is along the Endeavour River, just next to (within 3 kms) of Cooktown ...and this area does NOT fall within the Wet Tropics World Heritage Area as shown on the map. Unless there is any evidence/material to the contrary, I propose to remove World Heritage references, categories, and tags from this article, and remove reference to this park from the Wet Tropics of Queensland page.
