Emily Gimmel is a television reporter and radio broadcaster. She attended Sacred Heart Academy, where she first learned about television broadcasting. Gimmel started in television as an intern at age 15. [1] She previously worked at WKYT-TV in Lexington, Kentucky and WAVE TV in Louisville, Kentucky.[2] In 2006, she was named one of Lexington's most eligible bachelorettes. [3] She later moved and was hired by WRTV6 in Indianapolis as a beat reporter but left the station in November, 2007 when her contract expired.
She played the role of faux daughter of Louisville broadcaster Terry Meiners on the annual "Take your daughter to work day".[4]
She has interviewed celebrities such as Gene Simmons, James Denton, and John Mellencamp. Gimmel traveled America covering motorsports racing for The Speed Channel. She has done production for the MTV Movie Awards and is involved with the Mint Jubilee and is a motivational speaker at local schools.[5]
