The four animals shown on the abacus are in the order,Lion in north,Elephant in east,bull in south and horse in west. The last two mentioned here in the article on the web are in the reverse order. Kindly check.I have seen it with my bare eyes three days back at the Sarnath,Varanasi itself. 18th Sep 2005.
