I've restored the mention of the ML lists here, only because this is a stub and there's nothing else to indicate that she's an important 20th century novelist as opposed to some random hack. When this article gets fleshed out we can remove the ML mention. Gamaliel 05:10, 6 Aug 2004 (UTC)

I don't get it. Random House reprinting her book means she's not a hack? Are they the arbiters now?

I read your discussion of this issue at Modern Library. Look, I've never heard of this list (I'm English), but it seems to me it's the same sort of thing as the Everyman Library or similar. It's simply a means publishers use to make money out of (usually) PD books. I don't know why you think Wikipedia should shill for them. It doesn't prove the book had merit. It proves Random House thought they could make a buck out of it.Dr Zen 08:34, 24 Oct 2004 (UTC)

I've expanded the article a bit and removed the ML reference. Filiocht 14:24, Oct 26, 2004 (UTC)
