Eldorado is a municipality in the state of São Paulo in Brazil. The population in 2004 was estimated at 14,654 and the area at 1660.3 km². Eldorado is one of 29 cities in São Paulo considered to be a purely touristic city, by the state's laws. Because of this it has extra funding and has changed its name to Estância Turística de Eldorado (Tourist Resort of Eldorado)
