El Senbellawein

El Senbellawein (Arabic: السنبلاوين) is a city in the Dakahlia Governorate of Egypt, about 20 km south of el-Mansurah. It has a population is about 100,000[citation needed]. Famous residents include political activist Ahmed Lutfi el-Sayed, singer Umm Kulthum, and geologist Farouk El-Baz.

Sinbellawein's economy is based around agriculture. Many of the surrounding villages are under its administration. Car repair and car tank production also play a large role in the economy.
